I’m not knocking those things — I’m a little jealous, actually, since I’ve never learned to just relax (I’m a little obsessive) — but I’m just saying we can find time for what we love. I think it’s awesome how devoted you are — to the writing, yes, but to your wife and baby. They’re the lucky ones. Writing doesn’t take away from them, unless you let it. And it’s obvious to even the most casual observer how much you love them. It teaches your child, like you said, about having passion for something. But it also teaches him how to learn to manage his time, how to set priorities, and the value of working hard, having a strong work ethic and personal ethic. You’re going to be hugely successful — I just feel it — and that’s a GREAT thing you’re doing for them. :-)
